¡Unusual Cafes in Cdmx!

Cafés are a place for studying, hanging out with your friends, or maybe just relaxing.

Here are some of the cafés where you can relax and that make you want to say: “I’m in love with the coffee!”

Joselo Café.

The best esspreso coffee of Polanco it’s in here. They have satisfied all the people of the area with their delicious chiapaneco grains. A place where not only their speciality is the italian capuccino but also the relaxed atmosphere that gives the Lincon park which is just in front of it. Besides coffee, Joselo has smoothies, salads, teas, crepe, sandwiches and a many more desserts.

OPENING HOURS: Monday to Saturday 7 am – 10 pm Sundays 9 am – 9pm.

Chiquito Café.

As its name says, it´s quite small but with an excellent coffee which is from mill and hand mixed. Something that it´s important to enphasize is that this place is Pet freindly, so you can drink a delicious coffee with the best company of your dog. They have Banana bread, the delicious lemon pie and even “Molletes”. In conclussion, They are experts in preparing coffe, there’s no doubt.

Tea Forté.


There’s a new place just for us. The new lounge of tea Forte, their only tea room worldwide! The tea room-boutique has more than 40 exclusive tea blends and a delicious selection of andwiches (if you like salty things) and pastries (if you want to enjoy your tea with something sweet) for example a Kouign Amann, a flaky bread with sugar and butter. Also displays all it’s collections, teapots and accesories.

A place where they know that a great coffee is the best company of a good boo. Small but coz. Cafeleeria is the favorite place to be for people who enjoy reading, drinking coffee and smoking all at the same time. The food speciality: Turkey sandwich. The drink speciality: EVERYTHING, but 2 of the favorites are: Pozol and Tazcalate; cocoa- based beverages, both served hot or cold, and are extremly delicious.

Café Ruta de la Seda.

Organic, delicious, organic, pretty, and organic. Yes, there’s no other words to describe this cute place. This tea house was the first organic bakery in Mexico. Most of its ingredients have organic certification and they also have a line of products completly vegan, gluten,sugar, or milk free. 

The famous “blooming tea” a beautiful (and delicious) oriental traditional tea which gradually opens its leaves and releases its essensial oils, aroma and taste. Now…Food. It’s impossible not to fall in love with their light green tea cake called “Kyoto” or the “g^a teau a lavande” made with lavender flowers. A place that definitely you have to visit.

Café Budapest Cukraszda.

“A small part of Budapest in Polanco” This is how they describe this place, full of vintage furniture and decorations, and it´s true. From the moment you walk in until the time you leave you feel like you were in a different country. 

The taste of the coffee is strong, but you can give a sweet touch with irish cream. Nothing here has uniformity, from the cups to chairs but that’s what makes it interesting cozy and so special.

The most fancy-relaxed teahouse that you’ll find in “La roma” it has very comfy divans where you can sit and calmly read the sixty-two pages menu (yes, almost a book) wich explains in detail all the features of the teas, it even says if the tea is for drinking in the day or in the night. With any of the teas you can transport to China, Paris or even Sri Lanka. Try one of the delicious English cakes or macaroons.

La Casa del Pan.

Or “The bread house”. Simple but pleasant and comfortable. They offer bread made with 100% organic ingredients and it’s DELICIOUS. Amaranth hot cakes with maguey honey or the Walnut yogurth muffins are the favorites, obviously with a delicious home made coffe. They have also complete breakfast for a really economic price.
